Meet the Team
We work hard to collect photos for our stationary that capture the essence of local nature for its neighbors and visitors, so we can give back to the open spaces that make it possible for us to be whole humans.

Photographer & Operations
Blair Ryan
Blair started Hi. Profile Pix for her photography business, doing studio, lifestyle, and editorial portraiture. The focus evolved, influenced by her desire to limit time on the computer. She loves to mail postcards while traveling, but rarely finds an image that represents her experience. With new focus and family collaboration, Hi. Profile Pix provides neighbors and travelers more options for paper mail that represent the local area. As a new mother, she is hopeful that open space can be protected for future generations. These cards are contributing to that vision.
Blair and her husband Peter can be found walking their cat, Orlando, with their new baby, Hans, in their yard behind Arroyo Verde Park, or running trails and surfing in Ventura and San Diego.

Photographer
Dean Ryan
Dean is "funemployed" after a long career doing industrial design. He spends his days photographing the natural world and people he loves, delivering cherished images to his human subjects and their families. Dean is making swift progress on visiting all of the US national parks with his wife Lynn, his primary "spotter" when birding. He's always chasing rare birds and new nature preserves offering public access. Most of the photos featured on Hi. Profile Pix bird products are Dean's.
When not on a road trip, Dean can be found birding at the Water Treatment Ponds and Harmon Canyon Preserve, capping the day with a latte at Simones.

Spotter & card writing enthusiast
Dr. Lynn Pawson
Lynn has an insatiable appetite for learning and birding has become a recent passion. Paired with her innate desire to nurture her soul with nature whenever time and money allow, she is the impetus and primary planner behind many of our trips. There is no bird too plain or common for Lynn to appreciate its value and contribution to the local ecosystem and experience. She keeps the team, organized, motivated, and full of gratitude.
Lynn loves to get her daily exercise walking from her front door to Harmon Canyon Preserve, while listening to French lessons or whatever is good on NPR that day.
Services
Our long-term vision is to sell more cards, in stores and online, to give more back to the Ventura Land Trust. We love taking custom orders and working with our clients to make their gifts extra special. Work with us for corporate or personal gifting, and let our cards be ambassadors of your gratitude.

— Jane Goodall, in a statement in defense of The Endangered Species Act
“Surely, we do not want to live in a world...where we can no longer marvel at the magnificent flight of bald eagles or hear the howl of wolves under the moon? A world not enhanced by the sight of a grizzly bear and her cubs hunting for berries in the wilderness? What would our grandchildren think if these magical images were only to be found in books?”
